Oooh leeeeii oh lei oh lei! o wait wrong culture. For this project we made Lei's. we learned of their origin and how they came to be a great sign of respect in Hawaiian culture. we made our lei's out of water colored paper and bright construction paper, and for the vines we used the combination of string and straws along with a bobby pin to help thread it all together.

An extension activity would to look into Hawaiian culture and look specifically at the dress and how it has changed compared to the dress of today.
