Wow! This day was a cool lesson. we learned about Japanese marble paintings. what they would do is get a tub of water  a put paint in the water the way they wanted, then they would take a brush or something to create a flowing piece of art by dragging the paint through the water. then placed a piece of paper on top of it to capture the beauty in the tub. Awesome stuff. we did something very similar, the only difference is we used shaving cream and got a very similar affect. we used the paint as marble color for our old important places found around the world.
     This activity would work great learning about other cultures and their influences. it would be a prime activity to show the difference between cultures and how ever bodies different. take a trip around the world  on a map finding specific painting styles and draw them and learn about that certain culture.
